This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Coordinate, support, and collaborate with NRCs and the Surgical Synergy team for on-site customer installations.
• Represent Medtronic during technology-enabled procedures and offer technical assistance.
• Maintain system hardware and software, including installing upgrades.
• Conduct system preventative maintenance.
• Provide telephone clinical support to clients.
• Utilize UNIX/Linux commands to modify operating files.
• Meet obligations related to Software and Service Contracts.
• Serve as the primary liaison for customers regarding repair and technical support issues.
• Communicate customer concerns, challenges, and market opportunities to the district team.
• Report complaints and partner with CSM/NRC to ensure resolutions.
• Document weekly site visits and customer interactions.
• Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on technical issues.
• Offer clinical resources for surgeons, clinicians, and trainees.
• Participate in customer training for both internal and external partners.
• Provide train-the-trainer resources for hospital staff.
• Train Surgical Synergy Clinical Support team members on technology-enabled procedures.
• Collaborate with NRCs, Spinal Sales, and NS Representatives to identify prospective Navigation and Robotics users.
• Attend sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows.
• Support complex image-guided products and applications.
• Prioritize customer technical support and service objectives alongside the Region Manager and CSM.
• Provide field insights for new product development.
• Document both new and existing installations.
• Adhere to company policies, Quality System, BCS requirements, and ethical business practices.
• High School Diploma or GED along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in clinical, medical sales, or medical imaging/navigation/robotics; or an Associate’s Degree with at least 4 years of such experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• RT and/or MRI certification is preferred.
• Prior experience with Image Guided Systems is preferred.
• Prior MRI experience is preferred.
• Experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
• Must adhere to healthcare universal precautions.
• Ability to support both scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, including weekends, evenings, and nights.
• Willingness to travel overnight within the district or to neighboring districts.
• Capability to work efficiently and independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to attend national meetings, district meetings, and training sessions.
• Must be able to wear a 7–9 lb protective lead apron for extended durations.
• Ability to lift items up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for over 8 hours daily.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, and maintain balance.
• Required close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and an active vehicle insurance policy.
• Driving record will be reviewed.
• Must anticipate driving approximately 25% of the time within the assigned territory and may require overnight travel.
• Foreign baccalaureate degrees must meet the criteria outlined in 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• Candidates below Principal level must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout the duration of employment.
