This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +9 more states.
• The Clinical Sales Consultant holds the responsibility for achieving a sales quota in a multifaceted clinical sales position involving capital medical devices and software with extended sales cycles.
• The successful candidate will possess a strong determination to succeed and a commitment to assist and advise health system and hospital stakeholders, ranging from clinical users to C-suite executives, on best practices in infusion therapy, current and emerging trends, and strategies to enhance clinical accuracy and patient outcomes.
• Exhibits thorough knowledge gained through experience in acute care hospital IV infusion administration practices, patient throughput, nursing practices, IV medication administration, and EMR workflows.
• Skillfully conducts current state IV therapy assessments and develops a persuasive future state clinical value proposition aligned with the customer’s strategic objectives and vision.
• Demonstrates leadership, adaptability, and proactive initiative in fulfilling the needs of both internal and external customers.
• Strategically collaborates with Device Sales Specialists, Strategic Business Solutions teams, and Regional Managers to prioritize opportunities effectively.
• Manages multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks based on organizational priorities, necessity, and judgment.
• Serves as the Clinical Infusion Subject Matter Expert (SME), advising internal sales and other staff on best practices.
• Actively engages in infusion technology and industry professional organizations, staying informed on emerging practice guidelines and recommendations.
• Offers informed sales consultations and workflow analyses concerning IV medication safety processes and best practices to existing and prospective acute care hospital clients.
• Identifies current inefficiencies in IV technology and practice, safety concerns for patients, clinicians, and providers, opportunities for infusion revenue enhancement, cost reductions, and areas of regulatory non-compliance, and implements recommended workflow redesign and practice changes.
• Actively shares industry best practices to promote safe infusion administration, enhance documentation accuracy, support patient therapies and outcomes, and encourage client adoption of best practices and strategic goals.
• Acts as the voice of the Customer, providing feedback to internal teams regarding client experiences, the value derived, and opportunities for product/service improvements.
• Collaborates and builds synergistic relationships with Device Sales Specialists, Strategic Business Solutions Team, Regional Managers, Product Managers, Product Research and Development teams, Implementation & Support teams, and Sales Training.
• Encourages customers to provide enhancement feedback/suggestions and participates in future product development teams when appropriate.
• Contributes insights and suggestions for new product development and software enhancements to ensure compliance with current healthcare and regulatory standards, as well as to improve customer capabilities and satisfaction.
• Engages in special projects as assigned.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required; an advanced degree or clinical specialty certification is preferred.
• Current RN licensure and critical care experience are preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
• A minimum of 4 years of hospital clinical education, departmental management, or leadership experience is required.
• The position requires active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, to perform essential functions at customer locations.
• This position is field-based.
• Work can be conducted from a home office using standard office equipment, as well as on-site at customer locations.
