This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage budgets for clinical research projects, ensuring alignment with various funding sources.

• Assess study documentation to formulate budgets, Letters of Intent (LOIs), and amendments, including all relevant expenses.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to collect cost data and evaluate study feasibility.

• Negotiate budgetary and payment terms with industry sponsors to secure funding and enhance revenue.

• Maintain compliance with regulations and internal controls while monitoring budget statuses.

• Analyze budget data for accuracy and trends, and present insights to management.

• Offer education and support regarding budgeting practices and compliance to research personnel.

• Lead or engage in departmental projects and initiatives.

• Provide interim support for Budget Managers when necessary.

• Report to the Clinical Research Budget and Billing Compliance Manager.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Clinical Research, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Four years of job-related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• 2–4 years of experience in clinical research financial management, encompassing budget development, Medicare coverage analysis, clinical trial agreements, invoicing, and fiscal management.

• Knowledge of clinical trial operations.

• Intermediate skills in budget creation and negotiation.

• Capability to advise investigators on sponsor and institutional budget policies.

• Advanced verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for reports while identifying trends.

• Strong interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
