This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the operational strategy for clinical projects, identifying cost-effective and efficient methods to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards.
• Build and lead high-performing teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Propel project performance towards meeting contracted deliverables while fulfilling customer expectations and upholding operational excellence.
• Manage customer relationships and leverage the expertise of the Company's network.
• Foster communication and collaboration with clients and project teams in a matrixed, multicultural setting.
• Guide the development of project strategies and prioritize scope, timelines, quality, and budget with clear, data-driven methodologies.
• Create and present proposals for new business opportunities as needed.
• Identify risks related to projects, finances, and quality by applying end-to-end risk management and quality-by-design principles.
• Utilize data sources, dashboards, and risk management techniques to promote innovation and proactive problem-solving.
• Ensure compliance with project governance, issue escalation protocols, professional standards, SOPs, client expectations, and regulatory obligations.
• Oversee and manage project budgets, resources, and scope effectively.
• Ensure adherence to budget and financial milestones; forecast project revenue and manage associated costs.
• Handle scope changes and the change order process efficiently.
• Monitor KPIs for client-specific metrics.
• Facilitate communication and teamwork while ensuring project delivery.
• Ensure resource projections are accurate and communicated to resourcing teams; escalate any resource constraints.
• Develop and mentor team members while providing constructive feedback to line managers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Candidates must reside in the United States.
• A university/college degree (preferably in life sciences) or certification in a related allied health discipline from an accredited institution.
• Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in place of educational qualifications.
• At least five (5) years of pertinent clinical research experience within a pharmaceutical company/CRO.
• A minimum of 2 years of Clinical Project Management experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical setting.
• Experience with Phase I studies is essential.
• Alternatively, six (6) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment along with five (5) years of clinical research experience, including one (1) year of project management experience.
• Familiarity with ICH Guidelines and GCP, inclusive of international regulatory standards.
• Advanced proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Experience managing projects within a matrix and virtual environment.
• Exceptional communication, planning, and organizational capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead by example and motivate team members to independently seek solutions.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple competing priorities and utilize resources efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to foster effective teamwork and inspire staff within a matrix structure.
• Financial awareness and capability to effectively use financial tracking systems.
• Ability to work independently while mentoring junior project team members.
• Professional negotiation and liaison skills with clients.
• Competence to present information to staff at all organizational levels.
• A Master’s degree or other advanced qualifications are preferred.
• PMP certification is desirable.
• Availability for weekend and off-hour work as necessary.
