This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide safe, evidence-based GLP-1 prescriptions for every patient.
• Evaluate patient eligibility, comorbidities, contraindications, interacting medications, and complex cases.
• Conduct thorough and efficient weight-management consultations.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and side effects across the patient caseload.
• Make timely and safe adjustments to care as needed.
• Identify and escalate red flags, near misses, protocol deficiencies, and complex cases.
• Maintain precise, concise, contemporaneous clinical records that are suitable for audit purposes.
• Adhere to and assist in enhancing evolving clinical protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, incident learning, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with customer support, operations, and technology teams.
• Directly report to the team lead.
• GPhC-registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber (IP) annotation for a minimum of 1 year.
• Experience in prescribing weight-management treatments, GLP-1s, or closely related fields.
• Capability to assess comorbidities, contraindications, and polypharmacy.
• Ability to demonstrate clear and rapid clinical reasoning within a protocol-driven service.
• Strong dedication to patient safety and quality of care.
• Exceptional written and spoken communication skills, including patient counseling.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment without sacrificing accuracy.
• Proficient in using electronic health records and remote consultation platforms.
• Willingness to support evening or weekend shifts as necessary.
• Experience with asynchronous, telephone, and/or video consultations is a plus.
• Additional training in obesity or weight management, such as SCOPE certification, is preferred.
• A postgraduate clinical diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
• Experience managing patients with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal impairment, or polypharmacy is desirable.
• Experience in clinical audits, incident investigations, quality improvement, SOPs, protocols, or prescribing pathways is advantageous.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or weight-loss environment is preferred.
