Clinical Educator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Accountable for assessing clinical compliance and quality across all facets of clinical operations.

• Supervise and coordinate local orientation while contributing to the creation and management of ongoing continuing education training for clinical team members in the designated area to ensure and uphold necessary competencies.

• Create and assist in the development of scenarios and clinical content for both new hires and recurring clinical staff.

• Provide mentorship to clinicians enrolled in clinical education plans.

• Organize initiatives to achieve and sustain accreditation.

• Engage in air medical research activities.

• Support efforts to maintain and enhance clinical quality, compliance, accreditation, and successful reaccreditation.

• Operate as a clinical expert.

• Lead and assist the RCEM with the orientation of new employees, including management of schedules and base assignments.

• Offer guidance to orientees and preceptors while serving as a role model during the orientation process.

• Collaborate with RCEM and RCD to aid in the supervision of new employees’ clinical preceptorship.

• Partner with the local RCEM and RCD to ensure shared educational resources are accessible to all flight crews in the region to support the enhancement of clinical quality.

• Actively participate and instruct in simulation labs, invasive labs, and other educational programs utilizing learning technologies to assess and improve the skills of new and recurrent clinical teammates.

• Direct the development of content and continuing education requirements to uphold compliance and quality standards with all accrediting, regulatory, and credentialing bodies.

• Facilitate the execution of management directives that influence air medical practices in the clinical sector.

• Design educational programs for new and evolving care initiatives.

• Assist in the formulation of policies and procedures as needed to support and sustain clinical quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) along with five or more years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of four years of prior flight experience.

• At least two years of experience in education/instruction.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of collaboration across all organizational levels.

• Capability to be a team player with a professional demeanor.

• Proficient in managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.

• Experience in high-fidelity simulation is preferred.

• Specialty or subject matter expertise in one or more areas: ventilation, airway management, mechanical circulatory devices, resuscitation, high-risk obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatal management.

• Willingness to participate and rotate as an administrator on call for specialized equipment and high-risk patient demographics.

• Demonstrates proficiency in navigating and communicating within a complex environment.

• Encourages achievement across various disciplines in education and development objectives.

• Engages with all disciplines in an ethical, consistent, fair, timely, appropriate, and decisive manner in accordance with organizational policies.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Experienced with Smartsheet or comparable software as a service (SaaS).
