Clinical Dietitian, PRN – Clinical Nutrition Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deliver clinical nutritional services including nutrition assessments, education, and medical nutrition therapy for patients of all ages at McLeod Health.

• May perform nutrition therapy and nutritional assessments for patients across various McLeod campuses.

• Coverage may extend to ICUs, oncology, nephrology, medical, surgical, and cardiology departments.

• Provide ongoing nutrition therapy by collaborating with other healthcare team members to address medical nutrition therapy requirements.

• Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and support hospital quality improvement initiatives.

• This role is primarily inpatient; however, clinical dietitians may also offer medical nutrition therapy and/or nutrition education through outpatient services and community nutrition events as necessary.

• Will assist in the precepting of dietetic interns.

• Must maintain a clean, professional appearance and possess a friendly demeanor.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical nutrition is required.

• Licensure with the South Carolina Panel for Dietetics is mandatory.

• Must be a Registered Dietitian with a Bachelor's degree if registered before January 1, 2024.

• A Master's degree in nutrition or a related field along with the completion of a dietetic internship program from an ADA/ACEND-approved Dietetic Education Program is required if registered after January 1, 2024.
