Clinical Data Programmer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and test SAS and/or Python programs to produce both standard and specialized clinical data files.

• Analyze and interpret data specifications, working closely with Data Management to finalize project requirements.

• Assist in validating encoding and programming outputs to guarantee accuracy and compliance.

• Manage data extracts and handle daily encoding requests to support ongoing study initiatives.

• Contribute to the processes of study archiving and ensure that data deliverables align with project timelines.

• Conduct ad-hoc programming and data analysis tasks, including quality control assessments, data mining, and custom client inquiries.

• Join client meetings, when necessary, to gain insights into data collection and reporting needs.

• Create and/or review functional and technical specifications based on user requirements.

• Collaborate with Data Management to assist in data review and resolution of issues.

• Contribute to enhancing processes, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintaining documentation related to Clinical Data Programming.

• Support the onboarding and training of team members as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

• SAS Base certification is mandatory.

• Proven experience in developing programs using advanced SAS procedures; familiarity with Python is advantageous.

• Knowledge of database design, data structures, and workflows in clinical data management.

• Understanding of the pharmaceutical drug development process.

• Experience with CDISC SDTM standards and domains (e.g., EG, CO, DM, RE, VS, SUPP) is required.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to data quality.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
