This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the development and establishment of a standard library comprising reporting and/or analysis solutions (including reports, dashboards, visualizations, or others) for Data Sciences and various stakeholders.
• Collect requirements from a diverse group related to a specific study question or operational task.
• Develop and configure solutions to align with the gathered requirements.
• Manage validation processes to prepare reporting solutions for deployment and usage.
• Collaborate with a volunteer stakeholder group as necessary to assist in validation activities.
• Contribute to the Data Standards Governance Committee (DSGC) for overseeing standard reports management.
• Ensure regular updates to standard report templates are maintained.
• Provide training for the Data Sciences team on new standard reports and solutions.
• Implement standard reporting solutions for specific studies.
• Create and develop ad hoc reporting and/or analysis solutions—such as reports, dashboards, visualizations, or others—upon request from study team members.
• Gather requirements from study team members for ad hoc reporting solutions.
• Construct and configure ad hoc solutions to meet the specified requirements.
• Assist report requestors in validation activities of study-specific ad hoc solutions to prepare for their release and usage.
• Support the long-term maintenance of study-specific solutions and assist in investigating issues raised by study team members.
• Collaborate with Data Sciences leaders to identify requirements for measuring and monitoring operational and performance metrics.
• Design, build, and sustain metrics governance within Data Sciences.
• Analyze large datasets related to operational and study data, delivering reports that highlight areas for improvement and optimization (including inefficiencies, inaccuracies, and other issues) to Data Sciences leadership.
• Engage in the strategy, management, and integration of data reporting systems affecting Data Sciences, including assessment, integration, and development of vendor systems and Alimentiv technologies.
• Serve as a technical system subject matter expert, conducting validation and testing of systems.
• Assist in gathering and defining requirements for relevant technical systems in collaboration with cross-functional groups or other Business/Process analysts. Work closely with other technical roles (such as Data Management, Database Programming, Statistics, Enterprise Analyses, etc.) to promote data governance and excellence.
• Evaluate methods to enhance the use of existing systems to optimize internal efficiencies and processes.
• Support the contribution of Data Sciences to a Data Warehouse, participating in key decisions and strategies.
• When assessing new projects or requests for enhancements, assist in determining project costs, timelines, goals, and feasibility, and provide support throughout project completion.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree along with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• A keen visual design and aesthetic sense to create attractive and user-friendly outputs.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (such as PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.).
• Ability to tell a compelling data story, communicating complex information clearly and effectively.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Preference for a certification in data analysis, data visualizations, or related technical solutions (i.e., PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire, etc.).
• Preference for previous experience in Clinical Research and/or Clinical Data Management.
• Home-based.
