Clinical Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Deliver assessments and short-term, solution-oriented non-medical counseling services.

• Facilitate individual, couples, and group counseling sessions.

• Ensure appropriate referrals for behavioral health follow-up.

• Perform intake, screening, assessment, and client referrals.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans.

• Provide immediate intervention and conduct risk assessments.

• Report any suspected child abuse and domestic violence to local authorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master’s degree in counseling that is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs is required.

• Must possess a current, valid, and unrestricted clinical license or certification from a state or U.S. territory that permits independent clinical practice.

• A minimum of two years of full-time, post-master’s supervised clinical experience is necessary.

• Experience in providing counseling services to groups, couples, and/or families is essential.

• Ability to handle a substantial clinical caseload while adhering to strict documentation standards.

• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite software is expected.
