Clinical Assessor, Wednesday Through Saturday

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver individual, family, and group clinical sessions while liaising with referral sources and outpatient providers.

• Carry out mobile behavioral health and substance use disorder assessments within designated service areas.

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, clinical evaluations, intakes, and reassessments.

• Evaluate behavioral, emotional, cognitive, social, environmental, and recovery support requirements.

• Execute ASAM assessments and identify suitable levels of care.

• Formulate admission, treatment, and clinical recommendations.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and treatment teams.

• Coordinate treatment and admission strategies with referral sources, hospitals, emergency departments, providers, families, and community partners.

• Assist in service planning, clinical care, aftercare planning, referrals, and ensuring continuity of care.

• Manage utilization review processes and uphold authorization and continued-stay documentation.

• Ensure timely, precise, and compliant documentation practices.

• Engage in assigned on-call rotations.

• Uphold confidentiality and professional discretion at all times.

• Complete mandatory organizational, licensing, and accreditation training.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in and hold a license from Pennsylvania.

• One of the specified ASAM-aligned qualification pathways: a master's degree with a relevant major and master's-level licensure or state certification; a master's degree with a relevant major while pursuing master's-level licensure or state certification; a bachelor's-level education with CADC or in progress towards CADC and a minimum of one year of qualifying clinical experience; an associate-level education with CAAC or pursuing CAAC and at least two years of qualifying clinical experience; a high school diploma or equivalent with CAAC; or current Pennsylvania registered nurse licensure, accredited nursing degree, and one year of qualifying clinical experience.

• Familiarity with substance use disorder treatment, mental health treatment, and recovery-oriented care.

• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Capability to gather, organize, and accurately convey assessment-related information.

• Proficient in establishing and maintaining professional relationships with clients, families, referral sources, and community partners.

• Strong problem-solving skills through gathering and analyzing information.

• Ability to identify crisis situations and communicate concerns effectively.

• Working knowledge of behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, and recovery-oriented care.

• Understanding of federal, state, accreditation, and compliance standards.

• Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

• Willingness to drive and travel frequently within designated service areas.

• Capability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and infrequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.

• Completion of required organizational, licensing, and accreditation training.
