Clinical Assessor – Thursday Through Sunday

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver individual, family, and group clinical sessions while liaising with referral sources and outpatient providers.

• Conduct mobile assessments for behavioral health and substance use disorders within designated service areas.

• Execute biopsychosocial assessments, clinical evaluations, intakes, and follow-up assessments.

• Evaluate behavioral, emotional, cognitive, social, environmental, and recovery support needs.

• Perform ASAM assessments to identify suitable levels of care.

• Create admission, treatment, and clinical recommendations.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and treatment teams.

• Coordinate treatment and admission planning with referral sources, hospitals, emergency departments, providers, families, and community partners.

• Assist in service planning, clinical care, aftercare planning, referrals, and ensuring continuity of care.

• Facilitate utilization review processes and maintain documentation for authorization and continued stays.

• Ensure documentation is timely, precise, and compliant.

• Participate in designated on-call rotations.

• Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate professional discretion.

• Complete mandatory organizational, licensing, and accreditation training.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in Pennsylvania and hold a valid license.

• One of the ASAM-aligned qualification pathways: a master’s degree in a relevant field with master’s-level licensure or statewide certification board certification (CAADC).

• A master’s degree in a relevant field while pursuing master’s-level licensure or statewide certification (CAADC).

• A bachelor’s-level qualification with CADC or working towards CADC and a minimum of one year of qualifying clinical experience.

• An associate-level qualification with CAAC or pursuit of CAAC with at least two years of qualifying clinical experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent with CAAC.

• Valid Pennsylvania registered nurse licensure, nursing degree, and a minimum of one year of qualifying clinical experience.

• For ASAM co-occurring enhanced programs: a relevant master’s degree with master’s-level licensure, or a relevant master’s degree while pursuing licensure/certification.

• Familiarity with substance use disorder treatment, mental health treatment, and recovery-oriented care.

• Working knowledge of federal, state, accreditation, and compliance standards.

• Capability to gather, organize, analyze, and accurately convey assessment information.

• Ability to identify crisis situations and communicate concerns appropriately.

• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Willingness to travel frequently within assigned service areas.

• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and seldom up to 50 pounds.
