Clinical Assessor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver individual, family, and group clinical sessions while liaising with referral sources and outpatient providers.

• Execute mobile behavioral health and substance use disorder assessments in designated service areas.

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, clinical evaluations, intakes, and reassessments.

• Evaluate behavioral, emotional, cognitive, social, environmental, and recovery support requirements.

• Carry out ASAM assessments and identify suitable levels of care.

• Formulate admission, treatment, and clinical recommendations.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and treatment teams.

• Work together with referral sources, hospitals, emergency departments, providers, families, and community partners on treatment and admission planning.

• Aid in service planning, clinical care, aftercare, referrals, and continuity of care.

• Facilitate utilization review processes and ensure maintenance of authorization documentation.

• Keep timely, accurate, and compliant records.

• Participate in assigned on-call rotations.

• Uphold confidentiality and professional discretion.

• Complete necessary organizational, licensing, and accreditation training.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

• Primarily operate in mobile and community-based settings with frequent travel across assigned service areas.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside and be licensed in Pennsylvania.

• One qualifying pathway: a master’s degree in a relevant field with master’s-level licensure or CAADC certification.

• Another qualifying pathway: a master’s degree in a relevant field while pursuing master’s-level licensure or CAADC certification.

• Bachelor’s-level education with CADC, or actively working towards CADC, alongside a minimum of one year of qualifying clinical experience.

• Associate-level education with CAAC, or currently working towards CAAC, and at least two years of qualifying clinical experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent with CAAC.

• Current Pennsylvania registered nurse licensure, nursing degree, and one year of qualifying clinical experience.

• Understanding of substance use disorder treatment, mental health treatment, and recovery-oriented care.

• Familiarity with federal, state, accreditation, and compliance standards.

• Capability to gather, organize, analyze, and accurately convey assessment information.

• Ability to identify crisis situations and communicate concerns appropriately.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficiency in establishing and nurturing professional relationships.

• Willingness to travel frequently across assigned service areas and work in mobile/community-based settings.

• Capacity to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and rarely up to 50 pounds.
