Clinical Applications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Educate operating room personnel on Alcon products

• Offer both on-site and remote clinical assistance along with technical insights

• Execute equipment and software enhancements at clinical locations

• Address customer inquiries following established operating procedures and guidelines

• Participate in and assist with medical events and demonstrations

• Work in conjunction with Field Service Engineers and Sales Representatives for installations and support

• Relay feedback to Research and Development regarding clinical product performance via an approved communication plan

• Record site visits within a 48-hour timeframe

• Report and manage adverse events and device issues, while directing unapproved-use inquiries

• Attain necessary clinical certifications

• Promote ongoing process enhancement, operational excellence, and knowledge dissemination

• Comply with GxP regulations, standard operating procedures, documentation standards, quality control, and training requirements

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field

• Alternative qualification options: high school diploma plus 10 years of relevant experience, Associate degree plus 6 years, or Master’s degree plus no years of experience

• Minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience

• Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time

• Strong expertise in clinical ophthalmology, particularly in cataract care

• Comprehensive knowledge of biometry and refractions

• Must reside within the Southern New York or Southern Connecticut local territory

• Excellent communication skills

• Must comply with GxP regulations, SOPs, documentation standards, quality control, and training requirements

• Required clinical certifications must be obtained
