Clinical Application Analyst – Lab Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Offers assistance with the configuration, design, implementation, and troubleshooting of clinical applications.

• Oversees the maintenance of the clinical information system, lab/ancillary clinical interfaces, and assigned projects.

• Engages in all phases of project roll-out, including on-site assessments, design, construction, testing, training, and supporting end users.

• Develops an in-depth understanding of the application's functionality, reporting capabilities, and integration associated with the assigned clinical applications.

• Conducts training for end users and provides support during the Go Live phase.

• Executes workflow assessments and completes DCWs promptly to aid the design processes.

• Involved in system upgrade activities.

• Collects data on performance metrics to assist in evaluating system effectiveness and efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Microbiology, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• 2-5 years of experience as a LIS analyst in a healthcare facility or with a vendor; experience in rehabilitation is preferred.

• Previous experience in an Electronic Health Record environment is preferred.

• Proficiency in effectively accessing workflows, preferably with an understanding of rehabilitation workflow.

• 1-3 years of experience in implementing an EMR in either an inpatient or ambulatory care environment.

• Experience in complex healthcare technology implementations or related experience is a plus.
