This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist in the introduction and continued development of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product within the designated territory as its indication transitions from FCS to SHTG.
• Connect with key customers and accounts, pinpoint opportunities to enhance patient care, and foster collaborations throughout the healthcare landscape.
• Establish, nurture, and utilize local healthcare-system networks and relationships.
• Formulate and implement effective business strategies that align with both customer and Ionis objectives.
• Educate healthcare professionals and office personnel regarding sHTG, diagnostic pathways, and treatment options.
• Offer value-added resources along with HCP/patient support materials and programs.
• Engage in conferences, congresses, and scientific gatherings.
• Collect account insights and relay feedback to field leadership and marketing.
• Comprehend local referral systems and identify, validate, and document prospective HCPs.
• Implement brand strategic plans and create customer-centric territory account plans.
• Develop targeted tactics for endocrinologists, cardiologists, PCPs, and other relevant specialties.
• Modify territory strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Take part in field meetings and training sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates and share insights from customer engagement.
• Utilize available platforms and technology to engage customers through various channels.
• Partner with accounts involving patients seen by multiple specialties and geographic areas.
• Operate in accordance with Ionis’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience with launching new products.
• Familiarity with account-based selling.
• Experience engaging with HCPs and IDNs.
• Coordination experience with cross-functional field teams.
• Previous experience managing a sales territory independently.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, or other subspecialties that treat FCS patients.
• Preference for candidates with injectable experience.
• Knowledge of cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases, particularly severe hypertriglyceridemia.
• Established relationships with key opinion leaders and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and formulate territory strategies.
• Proven track record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient requirements.
• Strong clinical expertise and dedication to addressing patient needs.
