This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist in the launch and continuous development of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product in the designated area as its indication transitions from FCS to severe hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG).
• Connect with key customers and accounts, pinpoint opportunities to enhance patient care, and cultivate partnerships throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
• Establish, sustain, and utilize local healthcare networks and relationships.
• Formulate and implement effective business strategies and customer-centric territory strategic account plans.
• Educate healthcare professionals and office personnel on SHTG, diagnostic pathways, and treatment options.
• Offer valuable resources and support materials and programs for healthcare professionals and patients.
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific gatherings.
• Collect market insights, profile accounts, and guide sales and marketing strategies.
• Comprehend local referral networks and identify, validate, and document HCPs treating SHTG patients.
• Create targeted tactics for endocrinologists, cardiologists, specific PCPs, and other pertinent specialties.
• Collaborate with field teams, brand, marketing, operations, analytics, and other cross-functional partners.
• Share customer engagement insights with field team members and leadership.
• Utilize available platforms and technology to engage customers compliantly through various channels.
• Partner on accounts that involve patients seen by multiple specialties and regions.
• Operate in adherence to Ionis’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience with launching new products.
• Proficiency in account-based selling.
• Experience engaging healthcare professionals and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
• Background in coordinating cross-functional field teams.
• Previous experience in independently managing a sales territory.
• Knowledge in cardiology, endocrinology, or other subspecialties that treat FCS patients.
• Experience with injectables is preferred.
• Familiarity with cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases, including severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG).
• Established connections with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and create territory strategies.
• Proven track record in navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to addressing patient requirements.
