Clinic Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Coding Specialists play a vital role within the CorroHealth Team.

• The Coding Team Member will deliver CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across a minimum of 1-4 specialties.

• Responsibilities will include Outpatient Clinic Visits in various specialties, such as Cardiology, Sleep Studies, Endocrinology, and GI.

• Provide a range of coding services to support our clients effectively.

• Calculate ProFee and/or Facility E/M levels using an algorithm developed by our company.

• Identify critical care cases based on patient acuity.

• Code surgical procedures typical of an ER setting to capture additional revenue when suitable.

• Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes with the utmost specificity available.

• Accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS.

• Interpret coding guidelines to ensure precise code assignment.

⛳️ Requirements

• All coders MUST hold certification from either the AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P).

• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience is required.

• Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is mandatory.

• Must possess working knowledge and experience with systems such as EMR, Billing, etc.

• Must have a phone, a reliable internet connection, and current coding materials, including CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references.

• It is essential to maintain an ongoing productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher.

• A quality score of 95% or higher must also be sustained.

• Proficiency in Microsoft programs like Excel and Outlook is required.
