This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +26 more states.
• Y Analytics is on the lookout for a Climate Impact Research Assistant to aid in the research and analysis of social and climate impacts stemming from current and prospective investments, as well as to further develop our impact assessment methodology.
• This Research Assistant will primarily focus on contributing to impact assessments for climate-related investments, while also likely analyzing investments in health and social sectors concurrently.
• The Research Assistant will play a vital role in dynamic teams conducting impact analyses on active deals and performing comprehensive reviews of academic literature.
• This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about impact investment, climate change, renewable energy, economic development, and other social-impact fields, and who possess a strong eagerness to enhance their understanding of impact investing within a client-oriented work setting.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Graduate students or advanced undergraduates (specifically those entering their final year of undergraduate studies) currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sustainability, Business, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field are preferred.
• A demonstrated interest and experience in one or more of the Rise platform's thematic areas related to climate and energy transitions (clean energy, enabling solutions, decarbonized transport, greening industrials, agricultural & natural solutions) is essential.
• Experience and/or interest in health and social-related thematic areas of the Rise platform (education, healthcare, financial inclusion) is advantageous.
• Required experience includes conducting, interpreting, or synthesizing highly quantitative climate research studies, such as lifecycle assessments (LCAs), various sector decarbonization scenarios, and/or climate-related microeconomic research.
• Additional experience in contributing to academic research and/or performing literature reviews is beneficial, as is experience in non-climate-related economic research.
• A keen interest and aptitude for researching industries and technologies are desired.
• Proficiency in Excel is essential.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint is essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English, are required.
