Client Virtualization Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Administer and oversee Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.

• Provide support for virtual infrastructure utilizing Nutanix, VMware, and Citrix technologies.

• Monitor system performance and resolve hardware, operating system, and infrastructure issues.

• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and server replication tasks.

• Implement system updates and enhancements in accordance with established best practices.

• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to uphold system security and compliance standards.

• Work alongside cross-functional IT teams to support the enterprise infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation and assist with user training initiatives.

• Refer to written work instructions for daily operational activities.

• Administer and optimize both physical and virtual infrastructure.

• Introduce new technologies that align with industry best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience.

• At least 2 years of relevant prior experience.

• Over 2 years of experience in administering and supporting VMware environments, including vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi.

• Proficient in implementing, migrating, supporting, and troubleshooting cloud-based infrastructure and architecture solutions.

• Experience in administering or supporting enterprise data storage technologies, including NAS and SAN solutions.

• Familiarity with implementing, configuring, or supporting hyperconverged infrastructure solutions, such as Nutanix and Citrix platforms.

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, and routers in enterprise settings.

• Experience in developing technical solutions and documentation for complex infrastructure issues and preventing recurring issues.

• U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information under the program/contract.

• Preferred: Over 4 years of experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX virtual computing methods.

• Preferred: Certification in Azure, AWS, or Oracle cloud foundations.

• Preferred: Experience with HP blade technology, HP Boost, Loestream, NVIDIA GPU, Citrix, and Nutanix hyper-converged capabilities.

• Preferred: Advanced system performance monitoring and related tool deployment experience.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Windows WSUS, SCCM, or other patch management solutions.

• Preferred: Experience in Linux system administration and familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

• Preferred: Skills in remote services and performance optimization.

• Preferred: Experience with license managers in Windows or Linux environments.
