This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships through various communication channels including phone and email.
• Develop and update patient orders and demographic information in accordance with intricate ordering procedures, processes, and policies.
• Assess, investigate, and respond to inquiries regarding test information, specimen requirements, supplies, and associated fees.
• Offer education, guidance, and solutions pertaining to available resources, information, and application functionality.
• Utilize multiple ARUP systems to effectively and efficiently address customer issues.
• Document and follow up on cases to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Act as an intermediary between ARUP customers and technical departments.
• Apply judgment on intricate job requirements to optimally serve patients, customers, and ARUP.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent or higher.
• Capability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
• Proficiency in 10-key operations.
• Fundamental computer skills, including proficiency in internet usage and the ability to navigate computer and phone systems effectively.
• Remote employees must possess a minimum internet download speed of 75 Mbps and an upload speed of 50 Mbps, or be able to secure them prior to the start date.
• Availability to work the specified 7-On/7-Off B week schedule along with the training schedule.
• Preferred: completion of college-level courses in medical terminology, biology, communications, or related life sciences.
• Preferred: experience in a general medical laboratory setting.
• Preferred: at least one year of customer service experience.
• Preferred: familiarity with a laboratory information system (LIS).
• Preferred: intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in internet usage.
• Preferred: training or knowledge in HIPAA regulations.
• Must utilize personal protective equipment in the biohazard laboratory environment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Must adhere to ARUP policies and procedures.
