This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships via phone, email, and various communication channels.
• Develop and adjust patient orders and demographic details in accordance with intricate ordering protocols, processes, and policies.
• Assess, research, and address inquiries regarding test information, specimen requirements, supplies, and associated fees.
• Offer education, support, and solutions regarding available resources, information, and application usage.
• Advocate for and utilize multiple ARUP systems to investigate and resolve customer inquiries.
• Record and follow up on cases to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Act as a conduit between ARUP customers and technical departments.
• Apply discretion on complex job requirements to optimally serve patients, customers, and ARUP.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent or higher.
• Proficiency in typing at 35 WPM and utilizing 10-key skills.
• Fundamental computer skills, including internet navigation and effective use of computer and phone systems.
• For remote employees: an internet download speed of 75 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps, or the ability to achieve this prior to the start date.
• Availability to work Monday–Friday, 5:30 PM–2:00 AM MST, totaling 40 hours weekly.
• Capacity to complete approximately 9 weeks of training during the designated training period.
• Preferred: completion of college-level courses in medical terminology, biology, communications, or related life sciences.
• Preferred: general experience in a medical laboratory setting.
• Preferred: at least one year of customer service experience.
• Preferred: familiarity with a laboratory information system (LIS).
• Preferred: intermediate computer skills, including internet proficiency.
• Preferred: training or knowledge in HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to adhere to CDC, OSHA, and company PPE protocols in a biohazard laboratory environment.
