This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships via phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Create and adjust patient orders and demographics in line with intricate ordering procedures, processes, and policies.
• Prioritize, investigate, and respond to inquiries related to test information, specimen requirements, supplies, and fees.
• Promote effective communication and deliver outstanding customer service during professional interactions.
• Apply judgment to navigate complex job requirements to support patients, customers, and ARUP.
• Document and manage customer cases to enhance satisfaction.
• Offer education, guidance, and solutions concerning available resources, information, and application utility.
• Utilize multiple ARUP systems to investigate and resolve customer issues.
• Act as a liaison between ARUP customers and technical departments.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent or higher.
• Capability to type at 35 WPM and proficiently use 10-key skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in internet use and effective navigation of computer and phone systems.
• For remote workers: internet download speed of 75 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps, or the ability to achieve this before the start date.
• Ability to frequently engage in communication with others.
• Capacity to perform sedentary work and occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force.
• Fine motor skills for tasks such as picking, pinching, typing, or related activities.
• Ability to stoop, reach, and occasionally move between work sites and within the office.
• Proficient in using personal protective equipment in a biohazard laboratory environment.
• Adherence to ARUP policies and procedures.
• Preferred: completion of college-level courses in medical terminology, biology, communications, or related life sciences.
• Preferred: experience in a general medical laboratory setting.
• Preferred: at least one year of customer service experience.
• Preferred: familiarity with a laboratory information system (LIS).
• Preferred: intermediate computer skills.
• Preferred: training or knowledge in HIPAA.
