This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establishes and leads the project work-team alongside necessary resources to effectively plan, develop, test, and implement projects.
• Takes on a leadership role for assigned projects, coordinating all phases of the operational implementation of project deliverables using established PMI project management methodologies.
• Oversees and manages the project implementation lifecycle to successfully deliver multiple projects and initiatives.
• Provides clear, accurate, and consistent communication to project teams, management, external clients, and vendors.
• Facilitates and guides project resources through the work breakdown process to define tasks, durations, efforts, and dependencies, thereby establishing a robust implementation schedule.
• Collaborates with technology leaders to comprehend interdependencies and lead time in order to identify project resources and develop a detailed schedule.
• Drives and coordinates cross-functional team members from various disciplines, assigns individual responsibilities, and leads team meetings to ensure delivery objectives are achieved.
• Maintains project documentation, ensuring all project documents are complete, up-to-date, and appropriately stored.
• Prepares and disseminates project reports and communications, engaging with the technology team, project sponsors, stakeholders, functional area managers, and/or consultants about the status of specific tasks.
• Ensures proper coordination of various integration elements of assigned projects, including project plan development, execution, and overall change control; develops a highly technical and detailed project plan encompassing all work required to successfully complete both internal and client-facing projects.
• Acts as the primary liaison and manages the expectations of key sponsors and client executive staff concerning timing, functionality, and business objectives necessary for a successful go-live.
• Takes responsibility for managing conflicts within the group and provides final approval for the entire project on behalf of all stakeholders; Troubleshoots project issues and escalates them to upper management if needed.
• Leads lessons learned sessions and participates in root cause analysis discussions.
• Collaborates effectively with other project managers, various subcontracting partners, external consulting organizations, customer resources, contractors, and other third-party providers to ensure project quality standards are met.
• Facilitates project meetings, including kick-off and specification meetings.
• Travels to client locations to meet and discuss specifications, business objectives, and project options; facilitates meetings with key client personnel, including IT, for network connectivity and file mapping.
• Maintains ongoing interaction with credit unions, MasterCard, VISA, and other processors, software vendors, and ATM networks to coordinate products and projects.
• Keeps a comprehensive understanding of the payment processing card industry, card processing systems and subsystems, and/or related in-house applications, along with a primary understanding of system parameters and regional ATM networks.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of project management experience is required.
• At least 3 years in a client-facing role is required.
• A minimum of 3 years in the financial services industry with card processing and payment solutions is preferred.
• Experience in client-facing project leadership and card processing is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project.
• Knowledgeable about various project methodologies.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Project Management tools.
• Understanding of debit and credit card processing and supporting financial technology products.
• Proven skills in facilitation, organization, prioritization, decision-making, and conflict resolution; capable of tracking and managing activities in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects and tasks across various organizations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and deliver presentations using various audiovisual support aids.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; capable of negotiating with and influencing others at all organizational levels; able to persuade senior-level executives to make appropriate business decisions.
• Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision-making.
• Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 25% of the time.
