This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Assist customers throughout the claims process.
• Investigate and handle claims related to vehicle damage, other property damage, and moderate bodily injuries.
• Review and clarify coverage information as well as the claims procedure.
• Establish reserves for expected expenses.
• Organize vehicle inspections and approve rental authorizations.
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns during the claims process.
• Collect information from involved parties and witnesses via phone calls, emails, texts, and letters.
• Analyze law enforcement reports and gather supplementary evidence, including dash cam and surveillance footage.
• Evaluate facts of loss to determine liability.
• Identify and escalate high-risk claims that may involve significant indemnity exposure or suspected fraud.
• Review medical records to assess, negotiate, and settle moderate bodily injury claims in collaboration with legal counsel and unrepresented parties.
• Act as the primary customer point of contact while coordinating with other departments.
• Work collaboratively with a team to meet shared customer needs.
• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 6 months of customer service experience in a fast-paced work environment or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• 6–12 months of claims adjusting experience is preferred.
• Experience in a remote working environment is advantageous.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps.
• A dedicated workspace that is free from distractions.
• Capability to maintain a sedentary position for prolonged periods.
• Proficient in electronic and telephonic communication with team members, customers, and external parties.
• Ability to operate and type on a computer, laptop, or other Company-issued electronic devices for extended periods.
• Competence in accessing and managing the Company computer system, preparing documents, entering data, and reading from the computer database or email documents.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb, and/or stand occasionally.
• Ability to grasp, open, and close drawers, filing cabinets, and other equipment as needed.
