This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Address all facets of 1st- and 3rd-party injury claims of low to moderate complexity for both personal lines and commercial claims.
• Efficiently manage claims towards appropriate resolutions with minimal oversight.
• Oversee liability injury claims, encompassing coverage, liability, and damage considerations.
• Process Medical Payment, PIP, Uninsured Motorists, Under-insured Motorists, and Auto-Death Benefit claims.
• Assist with first notice of loss calls and participate in the department phone queue as necessary.
• Make determinations regarding coverage and conduct thorough investigative work.
• Guide customers on the optimal course of action concerning coverage matters.
• Establish liability determinations based on collected evidence.
• Assess subrogation potential and initiate notices of subrogation.
• Formulate negotiation strategies to resolve claims with insured individuals, claimants, or their representatives.
• Relay relevant case information to supervisors, managers, or committees as needed.
• Engage in employee resource groups, volunteer activities, onboarding, relationship-building, and other culture-enhancing initiatives.
• Travel as required for divisional, team, and other in-person meetings.
• Address business needs by dedicating additional time and assisting other teams.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Casualty claims, or 2 years in claims with at least 1 year in Commercial claims.
• High School diploma/GED or at least 3 years of experience in a Casualty claims role within the P&C insurance sector.
• Must obtain and/or maintain multiple state-specific Adjuster’s Licenses within the first 90 days of employment or job transfer.
• Preferably 3+ years of experience in handling Casualty claims as a distinguishing factor.
• Previous experience with Commercial policies is required.
• A BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related field is preferred.
• Willingness to work any shift from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the employee’s time zone, including evenings and/or weekends.
• Capability to complete training and perform job duties remotely.
• Exceptional interpersonal and computer navigation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Outstanding communication abilities with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Must possess authorization to work indefinitely in the United States.
