Claims Specialist – Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a substantial inventory of intricate claims to assess compensability and liability.

• Strategize and carry out thorough claims investigations to verify coverage and ascertain liability, compensability, and damages.

• Evaluate and negotiate suitable claim settlements and reserves within designated authority.

• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as required.

• Communicate complex coverage and settlement details to insured parties, claimants, and external stakeholders.

• Approve payments within assigned authority limits and ensure they are executed promptly.

• Keep precise and comprehensive claim files, which include correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.

• Potentially supervise performance and mentor staff, which includes involvement in talent selection, development, and performance management evaluations.

• Execute other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related area, or equivalent experience.

• At least 9 years of experience in managing property and casualty claims.

• Completion of or ongoing progress towards a professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC) is preferred.

• Experience in Commercial Auto and Litigation is preferred.

• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling processes.

• Familiarity with industry laws and regulations.

• Advanced capability to organize and prioritize caseloads for timely claim resolution.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proficiency in relationship building and leading negotiations.

• Ability to manage confidential information with care.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
