Claims Service Representative, Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Deliver prompt and customer-oriented support to policyholders reporting insurance claims.

• Record initial loss details and activities to guarantee timely and service-focused call resolutions.

• Evaluate whether immediate adjuster attention is necessary based on established protocols and coordinate with vendors as needed.

• Review call reports to ensure proper termination of calls, then submit accurate and complete documentation as required.

• Offer top-tier personalized customer service.

• Organize the dispatch of adjusters or vendor partners when necessary.

• Address and respond to branch inquiries and direct them to the appropriate area.

• Maintain a database of service lapses for root cause analysis, report trends, and provide recommendations to management.

• Assess claim information to determine the appropriate next steps for processing in accordance with client guidelines and service agreements.

• A post-secondary education is mandatory.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or administration is essential.

• Familiarity with the insurance/service industry or related experience is preferred.

• Proficient computer and telephone skills with a willingness and ability to learn.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Attention to detail is crucial.

• A team player with a solid commitment to quality and customer service.

• Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.

• Good judgment; capable of managing challenging customer situations, responding promptly to customer needs, soliciting feedback for service improvement, and addressing requests for service or assistance.
