
Claims Representative – Personal Property

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Initiate the examination of new claims.
• Make determinations regarding coverage based on the Named Peril Policies.
• Assess settlements related to personal property damage as needed.
• Establish communication with the insured and storage facility following established protocols.
• Identify coverage issues and escalate them to the supervisor.
• Develop a foundational understanding of all entities involved in this program along with their respective certificates and policies.
• Acknowledge state-specific laws and claims regulations across the United States to ensure compliance in claims investigations, including sending and securing appropriate documentation.
• Address time-sensitive materials, including but not limited to complaints from the department of insurance.
• Oversee a diary system to systematically review and resolve claims in accordance with specified state and client compliance guidelines.
• Maintain state licensure by completing continuing education courses and/or working towards a claims designation.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the claims supervisor.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with Lloyd’s of London is an asset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with a variety of insurance policies is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain licensure in necessary states and countries.
• AIC designation is preferred.
