Claims Representative I – APD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Conducting investigations, evaluations, and resolutions of auto physical damage claims within the designated area.

• Performing thorough and timely investigations.

• Confirming relevant coverages.

• Assessing potential exposure and deductible amounts.

• Estimating damages and evaluating for reserves and settlements.

• Effectively negotiating to resolve claims, including settling and/or denying claims as necessary.

• Fostering relationships with underwriting, risk control, marketing, and the independent agency force.

• Engaging in ongoing educational programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma required; a 4-year degree is preferred.

• Must begin pursuing AIC and other designations deemed appropriate by the supervisor within two years of hire.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial insurance.

• Must comply with applicable state licensing laws required for handling claims.
