Claims Examiner - Workers Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversees mid-level water damage claims by collecting data to assess liability exposure; assigns reserve amounts to claims, processes claims payments as needed, and resolves claims within the designated authority limit.

• Evaluates liability and addresses claims within assessment.

• Reviews and processes assigned claims, determines due benefits, and manages the action plan according to the claim or client agreement.

• Handles subrogation of claims and negotiates settlements.

• Communicates claim-related actions with the claimant and client.

• Ensures that claim files are thoroughly documented and that claims coding is accurate.

• May handle complex lifetime medical and/or specific period medical claims, which involve state and physician filings and decisions on suitable treatments as recommended by utilization review.

• Maintains professional relationships with clients.

• Performs additional duties as assigned.

• Contributes to the organization’s quality program(s).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in liability claims management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
