This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate and manage intricate auto and commercial transportation claims.
• Assess coverage, conduct investigations, determine liability, and appraise the extent of damages.
• Handle complex auto, commercial, and personal line claims, including those involving bodily injury.
• Ensure accurate documentation and proper coding of claim files.
• Oversee the litigation process for claims that are in litigation.
• Coordinate vendor management, including working with independent adjusters to aid in claim investigations.
• Notify excess carriers about significant claims.
• Create and uphold action plans to adhere to state-mandated contact deadlines and facilitate the swift and suitable resolution of files.
• Identify and seek out subrogation and risk transfer opportunities.
• Manage the securing and disposal of salvage.
• Communicate about claim actions and processing with insured parties, clients, and agents or brokers when relevant.
• A minimum of five (5) years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of personal and commercial auto policies, coverages, principles, and relevant laws.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to claim assessment and Medicare compliance.
• Understanding of the appropriate application of deductibles, sub-limits, SIRs, carrier, and large deductible programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively.
• Proficiency in PC usage, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain state adjusting licenses as necessary for the role.
• Competence in computer keyboarding.
• Capable of hearing, seeing, and speaking.
• Possess clear and conceptual thinking skills.
• Demonstrate excellent judgment and discretion.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
