Claims Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations, assessments, and determine coverage along with potential resolutions for claims.

• Assess the necessity to engage outside counsel; oversee claims and/or litigation until final resolution.

• Negotiate settlements with claimants, opposing counsel, and third parties.

• Engage in mediations and fulfill other required court appearances.

• Review and authorize invoices related to costs and attorney fees.

• Execute and assist with the initial evaluation for recovery opportunities.

• Maintain thorough documentation of claim file activities.

• Assess and respond to clearance and curative demands.

• Undertake additional activities and projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a proactive self-starter who is detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.

• Capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

• Demonstrate consistent attention to detail and a commitment to precision.

• Advanced skills in Word, Outlook, and Excel are required.

• Must be licensed and in good standing in any jurisdiction.

• Preferably, 3 to 5 years of experience in title insurance, a related field, or litigation experience.

• Recent law graduates will be considered for this position.

• Basic understanding of real property and insurance law is necessary.
