This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Evaluate incoming employer referrals for Disability coverage and stand-alone WOP benefits.
β’ Organize Early Intervention services and Pre-claim files, directing them to the EIP team.
β’ Forward finalized claims for claim setup and Case Manager assignment.
β’ Initiate internally adjudicated Life and Living claims through Case Manager allocation.
β’ Receive and assess claim documents and referrals for Disability and Life & Living applications.
β’ Create new files and verify administrative details, including absence dates and personal contact information.
β’ Compile and submit claims to external carriers, maintaining claim records until closure.
β’ Clarify application procedures to employees and employers, ensuring all paperwork is completed.
β’ Follow up on pending paperwork, errors, and omissions.
β’ Review policy details to confirm insurance coverage and escalate inquiries as needed.
β’ Identify and track return-to-work plans prior to claim submission.
β’ Inform billing administration of relevant updates to WEBS.
β’ Respond to inquiries, emails, and voicemails within one business day.
β’ Input complete and accurate file information into the proprietary database system.
β’ Manage both incoming and outgoing phone communications.
β’ Submit IT tickets with required leadership sign-off.
β’ Recognize inefficiencies and contribute suggestions for enhancing outcomes and efficiency.
β’ Execute additional responsibilities as required.
β’ Minimum of 2 years of prior administrative and/or customer service experience.
β’ Previous experience in benefits administration is advantageous.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
β’ Ability to work during the company's core business hours.
β’ Capability to manage sensitive information in accordance with privacy and confidentiality policies.
β’ Strong communication skills, demonstrating clarity, positivity, and respect.
β’ Ability to prioritize tasks, manage caseloads, and perform administrative duties accurately and punctually.
