Claims Associate – Workers Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Adjust medical-only claims and minor lost-time workers' compensation claims under close supervision.

• Provide assistance to other claims representatives, examiners, and leads with larger or more intricate claims as needed.

• Process workers' compensation claims, assessing compensability and determining benefits owed.

• Ensure accuracy of reserves and submit necessary documentation to the state agency.

• Communicate claim actions and processing updates to claimants, clients, and relevant medical contacts.

• Verify that claim files are thoroughly documented and that claims coding is accurate.

• Handle routine payments, prescriptions, and status reports for both lifetime medical claims and/or defined period medical claims.

• Maintain professional relationships with clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

• Proficiency in computer usage, including Microsoft Office.

• Organizational skills are required.

• Experience in clerical or customer service roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion are necessary.

• Capability to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.

• Capacity to meet deadlines consistently.

• Proficient in computer keyboarding.

• Ability to hear, see, and speak.
