Claims Adjuster III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of intricate asbestos accounts.

• Ensure prompt management of new loss assignments and their reassignment.

• Formulate account strategies and supervise mass tort litigation.

• Assess asbestos cases thoroughly.

• Provide oversight to defense counsel and vendors based on an established litigation strategy.

• Identify suitable cases for trial and execute pre-trial and trial preparations.

• Comprehend coverage issues and make informed decisions regarding complex coverage matters.

• Collect and analyze trends in claims, billing, and other financial data related to claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in handling asbestos claims or defense with a proven track record of increased responsibilities.

• Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and highly self-driven with a commitment to ongoing education in complex claims and issues.

• Desired strong technical expertise, particularly in recognizing coverage issues and interpreting policies.

• Comprehensive understanding of liability policy language and coverage interpretation.

• Capability to provide direction, insight, and oversight to defense counsel.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work setting.

• Experience in a highly regulated environment with a focus on compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are preferred.

• A college degree is required, with a J.D. being preferred.

• State licenses are required where applicable.

• Familiarity with leveraging artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g., generative AI).

• Candidates must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for immigration sponsorship, either currently or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.
