This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver prompt, courteous, and high-quality customer service to both policyholders and claimants.
• Address customer inquiries, initiate investigations, and resolve claims efficiently.
• Collect information to start claims and clarify policy details, coverage, and necessary actions.
• Manage the claim inventory and establish as well as adjust initial reserves for potential liabilities.
• Facilitate the repair of damaged vehicles and provide assistance with rental reimbursement.
• Identify opportunities related to subrogation, salvage, recovery, and total-loss situations.
• Ensure adherence to state regulations, policy provisions, and established operating procedures.
• Communicate with all involved parties and negotiate settlements within payment authority with claimants, insureds, and attorneys.
• Contribute insights on claims guidelines, best practices, and process enhancements.
• Supervise external investigative service providers and collaborate with clients, client counsel, and investigative services.
• Participate in learning opportunities related to personal lines claims, court rulings, guidelines, and policy modifications.
• A Bachelor's degree; candidates lacking this should still apply if they meet other qualifications.
• At least 5 years of experience in commercial cargo claims, preferably with tractor trailers.
• Experience in managing Third-Party Property Damage/Total Loss claims.
• An active adjuster license is necessary: a resident state license if available, or a Designated Home State (DHS) license.
• Familiarity with state regulations, policy details, and standard operating procedures.
• Experience in commercial claims is essential.
• Capability to analyze and evaluate claims data and make informed decisions in line with established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
