Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations into claims by assessing documentation, photographs, bills of lading, contracts, and inspection reports.

• Engage directly with clients to gather information, clarify details, and manage their expectations effectively.

• Create comprehensive liability assessments in accordance with federal regulations (Carmack Amendment) and valuation agreements.

• Work collaboratively with dispatch, foremen, and warehouse personnel to ensure the accuracy of documentation.

• Identify responsible parties for any inconveniences incurred.

• Keep precise records of claims, supporting files, and settlement proposals within the claims system.

• Formulate resolution offers that balance contractual liability with goodwill adjustments when necessary.

• Ensure that all claims are resolved within designated timelines to prevent escalation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to de-escalate high-tension client situations.

• Familiarity with liability frameworks in the moving industry, including RVP, FVP, and the Carmack Amendment.

• A detail-oriented and analytical mindset, capable of critically assessing documentation.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across operations, dispatch, and finance teams.

• Strong writing skills to produce clear and professional settlement offers and correspondence.

• Availability to work from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST, Sunday through Thursday.
