Claim Edit Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee claims that are returned due to failing scrub rules.

• Promptly identify and resolve rejections from third-party payers.

• Input charges and bills into the EMR system in collaboration with the certified coding team and Coding manager.

• Track missing charges and liaise with RCM management as necessary.

• Reach out to payers to address claim-related issues.

• Inform RCM leadership of trends hindering successful claim submissions.

• Work in concert with the Coding, AR/Follow-up, Patient Services, and Posting departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in a medical or insurance setting within a physician practice or billing company.

• Revenue cycle experience is preferred.

• Completion of Modernizing Medicine University courses within 6 months of employment.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic, start-up, results-driven environment.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Capacity to analyze extensive data sets.

• Ability to collaborate and function effectively within a team.

• Familiarity with claim correction and electronic claim submission processes.

• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
