Citrix Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Establish the strategy and roadmap for Citrix Desktop Virtualization, Virtual Workspace, and Application Delivery within the enterprise.

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade Citrix environments, including the installation, configuration, and upkeep of Citrix servers and associated systems.

• Spearhead NetScaler implementations and configurations focusing on networking, load balancing, and performance enhancement.

• Create, document, and uphold standards and controls to ensure the integrity of the Citrix environment.

• Identify opportunities to standardize, improve, and automate current processes across the Citrix platform.

• Offer advanced technical consulting to internal teams regarding solution design, system management, tuning, and modification of solutions.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and issues related to Citrix and associated systems, acting as the third-level escalation point for application support.

• Oversee Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for Citrix and related systems.

• Participate in technical problem-solving across various technologies in a cross-functional setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Natural Sciences.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in information technology with an emphasis on Citrix virtualization engineering and administration.

• At least 4 years of experience deploying and managing extensive Citrix environments with 2000 or more concurrent users.

• Over 4 years of experience with Citrix technologies, including CVAD (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 7.1811 or later), Citrix NetScaler, PVS, StoreFront, Citrix Provisioning, Machine Creation Services (MCS), App-V Integration, Citrix AppLayering, and Citrix Workspace Environment Manager.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with Windows Server OS, VMware ESX-based virtual server infrastructure, and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies.

• At least 4 years of experience in roadmap design, assessments, architecture, planning, implementation, and upgrades or migrations of Citrix Virtualization solutions.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience configuring and managing intricate Citrix environments that include XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, StoreFront, and Firewalls.

• At least 2 years of experience in implementing end-to-end Citrix Desktop Virtualization, Virtual Workspace, and Application Delivery solutions.

• Proficiency in CVAD – Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, NetScaler – ADC and Console, Imaging services – MCS and App Layering, Capacity planning and performance tuning, advanced troubleshooting of login and profile issues, slow performance, monitoring via Citrix Director and Analytics, and PowerShell for Citrix Automation.
