This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support and maintenance for the Customer/1 CIS application.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues related to COBOL, batch jobs, and associated components.
• Conduct analysis of billing, metering, payments, collections, and customer workflows.
• Execute minor enhancements, fixes, and logic modifications.
• Collaborate with business users to identify issues and convert them into technical solutions.
• Ensure the stability of the system, maintain data integrity, and guarantee accurate billing operations.
• Engage in on-call or after-hours support rotations if necessary.
• Proven hands-on experience with Customer/1 (C/1) is essential.
• Proficient COBOL programming and maintenance capabilities.
• Background in supporting CIS systems within utilities (electric, gas, water).
• Familiarity with billing cycles, meter readings, payments, adjustments, and customer account logic.
• Capability to troubleshoot intricate legacy code and batch processes.
• Strong analytical abilities and the comfort of working autonomously.
• Bonus: Experience with mainframe environments, JCL, DB2, or related legacy technologies.
• Contract lasting over 12 months with potential for extensions.
• Immediate start available.
• Part-time option is also offered.
