This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee all elements of print circulation for a prominent print brand, emphasizing subscriber retention and proactive strategies to reduce churn.
• Leverage audience data and insights to make informed decisions that enhance audience growth and boost engagement across the entire portfolio.
• Design and implement campaigns aimed at acquiring new subscribers and retaining existing ones, employing list segmentation and behavioral targeting techniques.
• Create test plans, trial offers, and promotional packages.
• Track performance results for various customer acquisition channels and lifecycle campaigns, optimizing based on measurable results.
• Manage the entire workflow from the initial conversion of contacts to their success or failure in ongoing marketing, engagement, and opt-in initiatives.
• Handle all logistical aspects related to print and circulation, including management of third-party vendors, agency collaborations, newsstand distribution, cost efficiency, print order management, shipping, and more.
• Conduct competitive analysis and market research; continuously observe industry trends, technologies, and conversion optimization strategies to keep the brand at the forefront.
• Supervise email deliverability and implement measures to enhance deliverability rates, open rates, and click-through rates across all subscriber communications.
• Formulate and execute plans and strategies that expand our audience while driving traffic and engagement to editorial and advertiser-supported content, programs, and events.
• A post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience will be taken into account.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in circulation management, audience development, or digital/print marketing, preferably in a media, publishing, B2B, or B2C setting.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret audience data and convert insights into actionable strategies that drive measurable growth.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities; adept at managing multiple brands and campaigns concurrently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Knowledge or experience in the scientific industry is a plus.
• Proficient in subscription fulfillment software (Omeda, CDS).
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms and best practices for list segmentation.
• Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and data visualization resources to track audience KPIs and campaign performance.
• Practical experience in social media management; knowledgeable about emerging platforms and growth strategies.
• Direct experience in executing and managing paid advertising campaigns.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization; a disciplined, test-and-learn approach to campaign development demonstrating clear ROI.
• Advanced understanding of print fulfillment processes, subscriber database management, subscription billing cycles, and postal regulations.
