This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop high-quality animations for cinematic and marketing purposes.

• Enhance our cinematic animation workflow.

• Achieve realistic outcomes that produce memorable visuals and significant moments in trailers.

• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team, engaging in team reviews and creative discussions.

• Design and refine character performances for both pre-rendered and real-time cinematics.

• Ensure that cinematic content aligns with the project's visual style, tone, and creative vision.

• Create and maintain documentation, workflows, and best practices for the cinematic team.

• Integrate and troubleshoot animation assets within Unreal Engine, ensuring smooth implementation.

• Work with motion capture data, including cleanup, retargeting, editing, and performance improvements.

• Collaborate with Technical Animators to enhance cinematic tools, rigs, and animation pipelines.

• Oversee end-to-end motion capture processes, from planning the shoot to final animation refinement.

• Mentor junior animators and contribute to initiatives for team knowledge sharing.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional animation experience.

• Proficient in Maya and Motion Builder.

• Experience with Unreal or comparable game engines.

• An animation reel showcasing relevant and advanced animation skills.

• A strong emphasis on facial animations and the creation of realistic human animation sets.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and team engagement.

• High level of self-motivation and initiative.

• A passion for and understanding of video games.

• The ambition and capability to pursue research and self-education.
