Child Psychologist – NY License, Full Time or Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct psychosocial evaluations that align with evidence-based practices.

• Offer individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based treatment methods.

• Engage in collaborative care team discussions.

• Build cooperative relationships and establish referral agreements with local mental health service providers.

• Oversee the quality of services and progress for referred patients.

• Complete necessary documentation, including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning, promptly.

• Collaborate closely with patients, families, and the care team to address challenges in treatment.

• Maintain required licensure and pursue professional development as mandated by the licensing authority.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from a program recognized by the American/Canadian Psychological Association (APA).

• Active psychologist license in the state(s) of practice (NY license required).

• NY Medicaid Provider Number.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience post-licensure.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.

• Capacity to effectively interact, collaborate, and build meaningful relationships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• Proven understanding of trauma-informed care principles.

• Prior experience delivering teletherapy to children and adolescents.

• Previous involvement with crisis intervention scenarios.
