Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, accurately diagnosing conditions and crafting personalized treatment plans that cater to each individual's developmental stage.

• Employ effective therapeutic methods and medication management techniques to address issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, ensuring safe and suitable interventions.

• Promote a cooperative treatment atmosphere by educating families about mental health topics, involving them in the care planning process, and offering guidance on supportive practices at home.

• Facilitate virtual psychiatric sessions that provide a high-quality and supportive experience, utilizing technology to maintain consistent communication with members and their families.

• Actively engage in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care strategies, and offer consultative assistance to other team members to ensure comprehensive member care.

• Keep precise and timely records of assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Utilize data analytics to evaluate outcomes and continually enhance care quality.

• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and quality standards, participate in ongoing professional development, and uphold ethical, patient-centered care practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state.

• Preferred experience in providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual setting (video and teletherapy), but not mandatory.

• Proficient in computer and live video tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).

• Proven skills in family engagement and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.

• Commitment to and knowledge of JCAHO guidelines, along with the ability to practice within an accredited framework to guarantee safety, quality, and compliance.
