This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
β’ P&L Ownership: You will have complete ownership of P&L across various business units β you establish the targets, drive the results, and take responsibility for the numbers.
β’ Operating System: Develop the accountability framework from the ground up β including KPIs, scorecards, operational cadence, incentive structures, and process automation. Create real systems with defined outputs rather than mere templates.
β’ Team Performance: Provide direct oversight to department heads and senior operators β ensuring clarity on expectations, consequences, and growth opportunities. You will make difficult decisions (such as exits, restructures, and resets) independently.
β’ GTM Execution: Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership on pipeline management, conversion, and revenue operations β possessing a solid understanding of the key levers and taking ownership when necessary.
β’ Hiring & People Ops: Work closely with the People & Talent team to enhance management depth β you will define candidate profiles, establish standards, and maintain high expectations.
β’ Founder Leverage: Relieve the founders of operational management responsibilities, allowing them to focus on vision, growth, and external relationships β you will act as the link between strategy and execution.
β’ MUST-HAVES
β’ Proven P&L ownership β demonstrated revenue growth or margin improvement during your specific tenure, verifiable by a recognized third-party source.
β’ Experience across at least two domain areas: GTM (marketing/sales/customer success), Operations/Finance (P&L/systems), and People (management/accountability).
β’ Successfully built operational infrastructure from scratch β not inherited or fractional; real systems with identifiable outputs and measurable before-and-after outcomes.
β’ Made challenging personnel decisions: exits, restructures, and performance management with tangible consequences.
β’ In-house operational experience within a genuine operating company (not solely in consulting, advisory, or fractional roles).
β’ DC DISC temperament β exhibiting high Dominance and Conscientiousness; able to challenge founders and enforce accountability without seeking consensus.
β’ Managed teams of over 30 individuals with direct reports at the VP/Director level.
β’ High intelligence, agency, and urgency β you take initiative without waiting to be prompted.
