This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Director of AI Engineering to implement the strategic vision and key priorities for Lenovo’s global Qira AI organization.
• Oversee the execution of intricate engineering initiatives encompassing AI research, platform engineering, product development, infrastructure, and commercialization.
• Foster cross-functional alignment among engineering, product management, design, research, security, legal, privacy, business, and executive leadership.
• Establish and continually enhance engineering operating mechanisms, including annual planning, quarterly business reviews, roadmap governance, release readiness, executive dashboards, and engineering metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to enhance execution quality, boost engineering productivity, improve delivery predictability, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
• Lead technical program governance across various global engineering teams, ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
• Identify execution risks, organizational bottlenecks, and inter-team dependencies while facilitating swift resolutions.
• Create executive presentations, strategic planning documents, engineering communications, and leadership updates for senior executives.
• Assist in organizational planning, budgeting, workforce planning, vendor management, and strategic investment decisions.
• Promote the adoption of engineering best practices, AI governance, software development methodologies, and operational excellence.
• Represent the AI Engineering organization in executive reviews and cross-functional leadership forums.
• Develop scalable operational processes that allow the organization to expand quickly while maintaining high execution standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience leading large-scale software engineering programs, engineering operations, or technical program management.
• Experience in supporting senior engineering executives, such as CTOs, VPs, or Heads of Engineering.
• Proven track record of delivering complex software platforms that involve multiple engineering organizations.
• Strong grasp of modern software engineering practices, cloud platforms, AI technologies, and large-scale product development.
• Exceptional executive communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
