This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Oversee the timely, effective, and accountable execution of various projects in high-risk, complex environments.
• Holds primary leadership accountability for the successful execution of multi-country, multi-partner grant-funded initiatives.
• Manage budgeting, operations, and all other aspects of the projects.
• Direct project operations and represent the project in high-level meetings and other events.
• Provide overall leadership and strategic guidance for both international and national organizations.
• Supervise and mentor a team of senior personnel.
• Cultivate relationships with all stakeholders and manage grant/project budgets within approved spending limits.
• Monitor and communicate the impact of programming while managing risks across initiatives.
• Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
• A master’s degree in international development, business administration, non-profit management, or a related concentration from an accredited U.S. institution or its international equivalent is preferred.
• At least 8-10 years of experience in roles such as Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, Project Director, or similar senior leadership positions within large publicly funded humanitarian programs.
• Proven experience in managing sub-grants and contracts under grants for complex projects.
• Experience leading large and diverse teams.
• Background in working with local, international, and community organizations.
• Strong understanding of humanitarian coordination mechanisms and UN clusters.
• Experience in leading programs valued at over USD $100 million.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing partnerships with the private sector and faith-based organizations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Sphere Standards, IPC analysis, food security assessments, and nutrition programming.
• Proven communication, creative problem-solving, and management abilities.
• Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.
• Must be fluent in English.
