Chief Medical Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Work alongside the executive team to create and implement policies, procedures, and programs that enhance quality improvement and operational efficiency.

• Foster relationships and agreements with external partners, contractors, and vendors.

• Formulate and execute the organization’s clinical vision, strategies, and objectives, ensuring alignment with its mission and goals.

• Oversee staff involved in Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) and Performance Management activities.

• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to devise and execute long-term strategies aimed at growth and sustainability.

• Keep abreast of emerging trends, research, and best practices in healthcare to ensure the organization stays at the cutting edge of medical advancements.

• Monitor performance metrics and operational efficiency in value-based payment agreements, making necessary adjustments for optimal outcomes.

• Regularly assess the efficiency of business procedures in line with organizational objectives and implement improvements as needed.

• Build relationships with FLIPA Member providers to advance VBP and related programs while incorporating FLIPA member needs into the strategy.

• Engage in budget review, financial planning, and resource allocation to maintain financial health and sustainability.

• Work with the Compliance Officer to aid in the development, implementation, and routine review of policies and procedures.

• Lead interdisciplinary teams, promoting collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing among medical professionals and staff.

• Cultivate a culture of continuous quality improvement by monitoring key performance indicators and executing initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited institution with an active, unrestricted license to practice medicine and current Board Certification.

• Comprehensive experience with Medicare and Medicaid, possessing in-depth knowledge of risk adjustment and value-based programs, as well as state and federal regulations.
