This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Identify, develop, and execute the business strategy for the Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance departments.
• Establish and agree on annual revenue, sales, profit, and operational objectives for the Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance departments.
• Assess and guide the organization's activities to meet targets for trading performance, quality, culture, and compliance with legislation.
• Create and finalize operating procedures and business processes.
• Lead (senior) management team meetings as required.
• Foster and enhance the organizational culture, values, and reputation.
• Provide reports to relevant stakeholders regarding business strategy planning, outcomes, and performance for the Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance department.
• Serve as the organization's representative in external engagements.
• Manage direct reports effectively.
• Actively participate in the learning and development of staff within the company.
• Oversee and ensure client satisfaction on ongoing projects for the Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance department and associated activities.
• Identify key accounts and nurture strong, enduring relationships to secure new and repeat business.
• MD degree.
• Valid medical license.
• A minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in drug development and/or clinical research.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a management position.
• Strong knowledge of GxP.
• Familiarity with GDPR/HIPAA, CFR/CTR/CTD, and applicable (local) regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in the English language.
• Outgoing, representative, and client-oriented.
